Policies and Other Information
HOW DO I GET STARTED? DO I NEED TO PRE-REGISTER ?
All of our classes, other than workshops, are ongoing. Feel free to drop in on any of our regularly scheduled classes whenever you like! Your teacher will ask you to
fill out a Release and Waiver. You do not need to sign up or contact us in
advance. If this is your first visit to our studio, please come a few minutes early
to let the teacher know you are new.
I HAVE NEVER DONE YOGA BEFORE. WILL I BE ABLE TO JOIN ANY CLASS IF I HAVE NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE?
If you are new to yoga we suggest that you begin with a Basics or Basics
Plus class (clearly marked on our schedule). You can find a description of these classes here.
WHAT IF I HAVE PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS?
Our teachers gladly provide modifications and props so that everyone can safely participate at his or her own level. If you have special considerations, such as back issues, joint injuries, MS, arthritis, etc. please let your teacher know before class. Please consult your physician if you have any questions or concerns.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? DO I NEED TO BRING A MAT? ANYTHING ELSE?
Wear clothes in which you can move easily and that are not too baggy. The
teacher can assist you best if your ankles and knees are visible, so shorts or
knee-length pants/leggings are appreciated. Non-baggy t-shirts or tank tops are
fine. Yoga is done in bare feet. You do not need to bring anything; we provide
mats for your use. We also have great mats for sale in our studio. Come with a fairly empty stomach and please don’t wear perfume or other strong scents.
HOW DO I PAY?
We accept cash, checks, or credit cards. You are welcome to pay for a single
class as a drop in any time and for as long as you like. We also offer the option
of buying classes at a lower cost in series of 5 or 10 (with a 3-month expiration
date).
